Standing on the shoulders of giants.

Producing the Pivot Playbook has required many hours of research to establish where the theories of academic and practice professionals marries with the experience and requirements of our fast-paced, contemporary context.

While learning from the great minds of history, a deliberate attempt has been made to look beyond the obvious fields and domains related to the playbook's themes, to intersections with other disciplines with the arts, science and business strategy domains.

Additionally, an ongoing focus on decolonisation, and what it can mean for challenging the common assumptions and entrenched behaviours of business, government and society, is providing new areas of exploration and possibilities for pivoting.

First and foremost, Rhod would like to acknowledge the input and sounding board provided by colleagues at Ellis Jones, David Constantine, Melinda Scaringi, and Adam Scott.

Also to acknowledgement the leading thinkers - the psychologists, artists, philosophers and business leaders - whose work has inspired and/or created welcome challenges for the virtual age. There is not enough room for them all here, but the work of the people named below is recommended to anyone who wants to go deeper on playbook themes.
